Logistics demand related to high-tech manufacturing increased by 15.1% year-on-year in May

Beijing, July 5th (Reporter Ouyang Jie) - The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing has released logistics operation data for the first five months: from January to May, the total amount of social logistics in China was 14.66 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%. Among them, the total logistics volume of industrial products increased by 5.4% year-on-year. The overall demand for logistics has maintained steady growth, with the acceleration of the transformation of old and new driving forces, and the trend of structural upgrading continues to emerge. At the same time, the total revenue of the logistics industry was 5.8 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.2%. The level of logistics prosperity has improved synchronously. From January to May, the average prosperity index of China's logistics industry was 0.1 percentage points higher than that from January to April.

The logistics demand in the high-end manufacturing field continues to grow rapidly. In May, the logistics demand related to high-tech manufacturing increased by 15.1% year-on-year, and the logistics demand related to equipment manufacturing increased by 9.5% year-on-year, both accelerating compared to the previous month.

Digital consumer logistics is developing rapidly. From January to May, the total logistics volume of goods between units and residents increased by 4.0% year-on-year. The retail sales of live streaming e-commerce increased by 6.9%, with a growth rate 0.2 percentage points faster than from January to April. New formats and models continue to provide growth momentum for the logistics demand of people's livelihood. In May, the total e-commerce logistics volume index and rural e-commerce logistics volume index reached 128.3 and 126.8 points respectively.
