The China Canada Business Forum focuses on new opportunities for economic and trade cooperation between the two countries

According to Xinhua News Agency Ottawa (Reporter Lin Wei), the Chinese Embassy in Canada recently held a China Canada Business Forum in Ottawa with the theme of "Seizing the New Opportunities of China's Opening Up and Achieving New Growth in Exports to China", and promoted the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE).

Chinese Ambassador to Canada Wang Di introduced new developments in China Canada relations and economic and trade cooperation in his keynote speech, and welcomed Canada as the guest country to participate in this year's 9th CIIE. He expressed the hope that the Chinese processing business community will continue to maintain cooperation resilience and make new contributions to the development of bilateral relations. China is willing to work with Canada to promote the healthy, stable, and sustainable development of China Canada relations.

Canadian Congressman and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of International Trade, Yasser Nakwi, said that Canada's participation in the 9th CIIE will showcase agricultural products, consumer goods, and health products, and engage in deeper business contacts with Chinese partners.

Deng Jun, President of the China Chamber of Commerce in Canada and President of Bank of China (Canada), stated that this year's CIIE Canada promotion activities have shown higher attention, wider participation, and more pragmatic discussions. This also reflects that in the context of promoting trade diversification in Canada, more and more Canadian companies hope to connect with the Chinese market, find partners, and promote pragmatic cooperation through the CIIE.
