The import and export containers of Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port have exceeded 200000 TEUs
On June 2nd, as a sea rail intermodal train loaded with Yiwu small commodities slowly departed from the customs supervision area of Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, the port has accumulated over 200000 TEUs of import and export containers since its opening on June 27th last year. Less than a year later, the key node of the opening of the Yiyong Ship Grand Passage and the "Sixth Port Area" of Ningbo Zhoushan Port have once again delivered impressive results, continuously supporting the high-quality development of Zhejiang's foreign trade with technological empowerment and model innovation.
As the first approved mixed mode autonomous driving test railway station in China, Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port is the first to pilot the sea rail multimodal transport business model in the country. By connecting cross departmental data links and breaking down barriers to segmented transportation, achieving "one-time declaration, full passage", the comprehensive logistics cost of a single container has been reduced by 20%. Since its opening, the cumulative value of exported goods under customs supervision has exceeded 13.5 billion yuan.
Previously, we mainly used road transportation to transport goods to the port, which was greatly affected by factors such as weather and traffic. Now, through railway transportation at the hub port, the delivery time is guaranteed and the transportation cost is significantly reduced, "said Wang Wenlong, manager of Yiwu Aomin Customs Declaration Agency Co., Ltd." In case of changes in the shipping schedule, we can directly use customs intelligent supervision equipment to automatically seal and seamlessly connect with road transportation on the site. It can operate 24 hours a day, efficiently and flexibly, allowing us to enjoy the benefits of the port while being inland
Behind efficient customs clearance is the continuous innovation of customs supervision mode. Zheng Yangyuan, the head of the Third Department of Comprehensive Business at Yiwu Customs, introduced that relying on the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, Yiwu Customs is deepening the construction of a smart customs. On the one hand, it is building a customs intelligent supervision application scenario, using AI smart glasses to carry out auxiliary inspections, which can quickly identify foreign labels, categories, materials and other information of small commodities, and improve inspection efficiency by 20% compared to traditional modes. On the other hand, the first batch of national sea rail multimodal transport business model pilot projects have been launched, and the "smart customs" and "smart ports" have been integrated and coordinated, allowing inland enterprises to truly enjoy port convenience.
Data shows that since its opening, the freight volume of Yiwu International Hub Port has increased from 2 trains per day to a maximum of 7 trains per day, with a cumulative total of over 200000 TEUs of containers arriving and departing. Yiwu Customs will continue to optimize the multimodal transport supervision mode, accurately respond to enterprise demands, promote the upgrading and improvement of port infrastructure and functions, explore the application of more intelligent equipment in customs supervision, effectively reduce customs clearance costs, and help promote the high-quality development of foreign trade.
