Guizhou sturgeon caviar opens the door to the international market

On May 31st, after passing the inspection of Kaili Customs under Guiyang Customs, a batch of Guizhou sturgeon caviar with a value of 212000 yuan completed cold chain packaging and was transported overseas by international cold chain flight from Shanghai Pudong International Airport. This is the first export of Guizhou sturgeon caviar.

Guizhou Butani Food Co., Ltd. relies on its "unique" cold water resources to achieve the full chain of caviar selection, light salt pickling, vacuum packaging, cold chain storage and deep processing from seedling breeding to ecological water aquaculture. It is one of the earliest enterprises in Guizhou Province to lay out large-scale production of sturgeon caviar.

Sturgeon caviar is not an ordinary agricultural food product and falls under the jurisdiction of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES). After learning that the enterprise wanted to use sturgeon caviar as a "new business card" for export products, Kaili Customs translated various rules into daily operational standards for the enterprise and provided full chain guidance for the enterprise. In May of this year, Butani officially obtained the CITES registration qualification, becoming the first sturgeon caviar processing enterprise in Guizhou to obtain this qualification. As a result, the product truly gained entry into the international market.

The transportation conditions for frozen sturgeon caviar are strict. After processing, it must be immediately stored at a low temperature of around -4 ℃ to 0 ℃. Any abnormal temperature during transportation will affect the flavor and shelf life of the product. To this end, Kaili Customs guides enterprises to make compliant declarations and issues "health certificates" on the same day of inspection and quarantine, achieving instant declaration and release, saving valuable time for enterprises.
