Yuncheng Cherry makes its first foray into Thailand
Recently, a batch of fresh cherries weighing 540 kilograms were inspected and quarantined by the Yuncheng Customs under the jurisdiction of Taiyuan Customs, and flew directly from Yuncheng Salt Lake International Airport to Bangkok, Thailand. This is the first time Yuncheng fruits have been exported to the ASEAN market by air, and also the first time Yuncheng cherries have achieved self operated export.
Yuncheng has a suitable climate and sufficient sunshine, making it the core production area of high-quality cherries in Shanxi Province. The cherries produced are large, sweet, bright in color, and of high quality, which are highly favored by the international market. In order to ensure that cherries compete for "freshness" and go abroad, Yuncheng Customs provides advanced services, sets up a special team, interprets the independent export process in detail, and tailors a fresh cold chain export supervision plan. Strictly follow the relevant requirements for inspection and quarantine of Chinese fruits exported to Thailand to provide technical guidance, help enterprises improve their quality control system, conduct monitoring of harmful organisms and pesticide residues, and effectively safeguard the quality and safety of exported fruits.
Since the beginning of this year, Yuncheng City has relied on the construction of air ports to continuously improve port supporting functions and smooth international air routes. This export further promotes Yuncheng's independent ability in fruit foreign trade to a new level, which is a landmark breakthrough for Yuncheng to expand its opening up and enhance its level of openness relying on air ports.
Wang Yaohong, General Manager of Shanxi Guofu E-commerce Co., Ltd., a self operated exporter, said, "In the past, local cherries were mainly sold offline and domestically, with a limited market radius. This time, relying on the advantages of fast air cold chain transportation and low loss, we have completely bid farewell to the shortcomings of land transportation and logistics bottlenecks in the past, and achieved 'picking on the same day, clearing customs on the same day, and arriving in Thailand the next day', locking in the fresh taste of cherries to the greatest extent possible, allowing the 'Yuncheng flavor' to quickly reach the taste buds of ASEAN consumers
Yuncheng Customs leverages its functional advantages and relies on the international route resources of the air port to assist enterprises in utilizing flexible transportation methods such as "belly cargo" to build an "air logistics express line" for Yuncheng's characteristic agricultural products to directly reach Southeast Asia. With the convenience of customs clearance, it empowers the port to enhance its openness level and activates new driving forces for the development of inland air ports.
At the same time, Yuncheng Customs has opened up a green channel for local inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products, giving priority to inspection and rapid release. A "one-on-one" dedicated person is responsible for pre clearance review, providing pre clearance guidance for "early declaration", ensuring that documents are "reported and reviewed immediately", that documents are issued quickly and fly with the air, and that fresh products are cleared with "zero delay" throughout the entire process.
Next, Yuncheng Customs will continuously optimize the full chain supporting services such as registration, external recommendation, and customs clearance facilitation for outbound fruit orchards and packaging factories, continue to expand the number of fruit exporting countries and regions, and help more characteristic agricultural products take advantage of the opportunity to go global. Through upgrading characteristic industries, it will help promote the income increase of fruit farmers, improve the quality of foreign trade, and revitalize rural areas.
