On May 25th, I walked into the production workshop of Wanwei Qingdao Durian Super Factory in Qingdao Free Trade Zone. The automated assembly line was running in an orderly manner, and the staff were wearing uniform uniforms to finely package and pack frozen durian meat. Separated from the workshop by a glass wall is a live streaming area where live streamers provide live product explanations, allowing consumers to see the entire processing process more intuitively.

The enterprise relies on the improvement of cold chain supporting facilities to build an integrated industrial chain of procurement, customs clearance, warehousing and processing, and online sales, realizing the direct delivery of durian from Southeast Asian origin to domestic consumers' dining tables. As the largest frozen durian meat storage base in the country in terms of turnover, the company imported over 1000 tons of durian in the first four months, with daily shipment orders exceeding 5000. Some durian products were also exported overseas.

The long transportation time of fresh products not only affects their freshness, but may also miss out on sales opportunities, "said Su Lei, the head of the factory. With the continuous expansion of market business, the pressure on stable supply of goods, timely circulation of goods, and product quality control is gradually increasing. In addition, durian has strong fresh attributes, and the efficiency of customs clearance directly affects the freshness of products.

In order to adapt to the characteristics of fresh goods and alleviate the pressure of customs clearance for enterprises, Huangdao Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, has accurately matched the needs of enterprises and tailored convenient supervision services such as "appointment inspection" and "on-site inspection".

After the goods are transferred to the park, the customs immediately conducts on-site inspection. If they pass the inspection, they can be released on the same day, achieving seamless integration of the entire process of goods arrival, inspection and release, processing and packaging, and shipment and outbound. Nowadays, durian goods can be delivered to consumers by sea in as little as three days, greatly reducing the turnover time of goods.

According to customs statistics, the cumulative import of durian at Qingdao Port in the first four months of this year was 3639.7 tons, a year-on-year increase of 33.5%.

Yu Ting, Deputy Director of the Inspection Department of Huangdao Customs, stated that the customs will continue to deepen the implementation of trade facilitation measures, continuously improve the quality and efficiency of customs clearance supervision services, assist enterprises in building a national durian supply base, and enable high-quality consumer goods to sell well domestically and spread overseas.
