The volume of China Europe freight trains operating at Tongjiang Railway Port in the first quarter has nearly doubled

In recent days, accompanied by the loud and long whistle sound, a series of China Europe freight trains loaded with goods slowly departed from the Tongjiang Railway Port, crossed the river and bridge, and headed straight for the Siberian Railway in Russia, then reaching Europe and other countries along the route. According to statistics from Tongjiang Customs, in the first quarter of this year, the customs supervised 73 trains and 8022 TEUs of China Europe freight trains entering and leaving through Tongjiang Railway Port, with year-on-year growth of 97.3% and 147% respectively.
In response to the characteristics of the China Europe freight train carrying a wide range of goods, wide sources, and fast pace, Tongjiang Customs has taken the initiative to provide advanced services and set up a dedicated service window for the China Europe freight train, providing full process tracking and one-stop processing, realizing the inspection and rapid release of the freight train upon arrival.
Since the beginning of this year, the import and export volume of China Europe freight trains at ports has not only achieved rapid growth, but the types of imported and exported goods have also become increasingly diverse, "said Shi Lei, head of the Logistics Monitoring Department at the Tongjiang Customs Railway Port Office
Technological empowerment also provides effective support for speeding up customs clearance. Tongjiang Customs is deeply promoting the construction of a smart customs, relying on the railway port logistics intelligent supervision platform, integrating big data analysis, Internet of Things perception, video intelligent analysis and other means, and using unmanned aerial vehicles to conduct comprehensive inspections. At present, comprehensive coverage, full time monitoring, and full process traceability are carried out for station stored goods, container dynamics, train operation trajectories, and on-site operation status, achieving precise supervision and efficient customs clearance.
With the continuous optimization of customs clearance environment, the radiation and driving capacity of Tongjiang Railway Port as an important node of the China Europe East Railway Corridor continues to increase. As of now, there are 18 China Europe freight trains passing through ports, exporting high-quality domestic goods such as electronic products, daily necessities, and high value-added construction machinery parts. The return trains are loaded with corrugated paper, plywood, and other goods, effectively enriching the domestic market supply.
