On March 29th, the "Zhuhai Cebu" international freight route was officially opened. Under the supervision of Doumen Customs under Gongbei Customs, a full cargo plane loaded with e-commerce goods took off from Zhuhai Jinwan Airport and headed to Cebu, Philippines. This route is the second all cargo route directly to the Philippines opened by Zhuhai Airport, following the "Zhuhai Clark" route.
The newly opened "Zhuhai Cebu" route plans to operate 2 flights per week, mainly carrying cross-border e-commerce products, electronic accessories, and high-end consumer goods. Unlike the previously stable operation of the "Zhuhai Clark" route, which focuses on the northern Philippines and Manila economic circle, the Cebu route precisely connects with the vast market in central and southern Philippines. Xue Shuting, the person in charge of Zhuhai Jiaokong Airport Logistics Co., Ltd., said, "The new route provides key support for us to build a 'dual hub' freight network, which can more accurately match the logistics needs of local enterprises entering different regional markets in the Philippines and enhance our service capabilities as a regional freight hub
To ensure the efficient operation of the new route, Doumen Customs has established a "one-on-one" docking mechanism, thoroughly sorted out the entire customs clearance process nodes in advance, tailored regulatory service plans based on the characteristics of cross-border e-commerce goods, and optimized personnel configuration. The customs also relies on the "single window" system and the full process electronic supervision mode to provide enterprises with "7 × 24" 24-hour appointment clearance services, maximizing the compression of goods clearance time.
The stable operation of the "Zhuhai Cebu" route will further consolidate Zhuhai's position as an aviation logistics hub on the west bank of the the Pearl River. Next, Gongbei Customs will continue to support airport operators and airlines, guided by market demand, steadily expand cargo routes, promote the improvement of multimodal transport systems, continuously optimize the port business environment, and support the construction of modern international logistics channels with higher efficiency, better cost, and better service.
