On March 29th, after more than 20 hours of long-distance international air transportation, a batch of 675 kilograms of Dalian "Meizao" cherries were successfully delivered to Amsterdam, the Netherlands for consumers to choose from, marking the successful entry of Dalian cherries into the European market.
As a fresh fruit, cherries have extremely high requirements for export timeliness, and transportation efficiency and customs clearance speed directly determine product quality. In response, Dalian Customs has utilized "5G+visual remote inspection" and combined it with a scheduled inspection mechanism to achieve a 4-hour completion of declaration, inspection, release, and certificate issuance. At the same time, Dalian Customs and Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport jointly built a new channel for agricultural products to "go abroad", helping enterprises to connect the "Dalian Xiamen Amsterdam" fresh fruit export route, reducing the total transportation time to 29 hours.
In order to better assist enterprises in opening up the European market, Dalian Customs has accurately collected the latest agricultural and food product access requirements from the European Union and other exporting countries, helped enterprises optimize raw material harvesting and cold chain packaging technology, improved quality and safety management systems, and invited plant quarantine experts to provide technical guidance on key aspects such as orchard planting standards, agricultural input management, and pest control; Promote the implementation of the "Safety Commitment Compliance Certificate" system, and guide enterprises to obtain qualification certifications such as Good Agricultural Practice GAP and Geographical Indication for agricultural products.
According to statistics, in the first quarter of 2026, Dalian Customs supervised the export of 100.52 tons of cherries, with a value of 12.59 million yuan, an increase of about 19.6% and 80.9% year-on-year, respectively. (Mao Weixia, Xu Yidan, Shang Yutong/Text)
