In the first quarter, Hubei Automobile's "going global" saw a strong increase of 88.6%

According to statistics from Wuhan Customs, the value of exported automobiles (including chassis) from Hubei Province reached 7.61 billion yuan in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 88.6%. Among them, the export to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" was 5.69 billion yuan, up 75.5% year on year, becoming an important force driving the growth of foreign trade.

What is particularly impressive is that the "electricity content" of automobile exports continues to soar. In the first quarter, the export value of electric manned vehicles in Hubei reached 4.32 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 140%, accounting for nearly 60% of the total automobile exports. High value-added and high-tech "Made in Hubei" vehicles are accelerating towards the world.

Channel empowerment: Land sea linkage paves the way for "going global" smoothly

Behind the rapid growth of exports is the strong support of efficient and stable international logistics channels. In the first quarter, the "Dongfeng Special Train" operated steadily, with a total of about 2100 Dongfeng vehicles shipped, ensuring timely delivery of overseas orders from key enterprises.

In order to break through the "bottleneck" of land transportation, Hanyang Customs took the initiative to facilitate the deepening of cooperation between Wuhan Economic Development Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Xinjiang Alashankou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and jointly create a cross-border logistics chain of "Wuhan R&D and manufacturing - Alashankou customs clearance - Asia Europe market coverage". At the same time, taking advantage of the temporary opening of the Hannan Port Area, which has been approved as a national first-class port, the supervision process of water rail public multimodal transport will be optimized simultaneously, achieving "one declaration, one inspection, and one release". Under the new model, single vehicle exports can save more than 1000 yuan in comprehensive logistics costs.

Structural optimization: dual wheel drive of independent brands and new energy

The continuous optimization of export product structure is the biggest highlight of Hubei Automobile's overseas expansion. In the first quarter, the export volume of domestic independent brand automobiles in Hubei Province accounted for 75.1% of the total during the same period, an increase of 101.9% year-on-year, with a significant growth rate.

While domestic brands are accelerating their overseas expansion, new energy vehicles are becoming a new growth point for Hubei's automobile exports. In Shiyan, Hubei, four new energy vehicle companies have passed AEO certification in the automotive industry chain, gradually forming a good demonstration effect of "certifying one company, driving a chain, and activating one area". In the first quarter of this year, Shiyan City exported 9111 electric passenger vehicles with a value of 710 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 36.9%, demonstrating strong export growth momentum.

New energy and independent brands are working in the same direction, driving the continuous release of the "new three effects". In the first quarter of this year, the export of Hubei's "new three types" products reached 12.21 billion yuan, an increase of 152%, promoting the coordinated development of upstream and downstream industrial chains overseas.

Service escort: leap from "product going global" to "system going global"

The impressive achievements of automobile exports cannot be separated from the precise drip irrigation of policies and the continuous empowerment of services.

The customs not only guided us to enjoy the benefits of RCEP policies, but also helped us solve the logistics congestion problems caused by external environmental changes through 'the customs chief delivering policies to our doorstep'. ”Yuan Lu, the head of the Business Management Department of Dongfeng Import and Export Co., Ltd., said that the "one enterprise, one policy" service provided by customs gives enterprises more confidence in going global.

The online operation of the "Automobile Export Comprehensive Service Zone" on the Hubei International Trade Digital Platform has further broken through the information barriers faced by enterprises in "going global". The international competitiveness of Hubei's automotive industry is undergoing a qualitative leap, from going it alone to going global together, from selling products to selling systems.
