Recently, in front of the gate of "Yunshang Pear Garden" in Dangshan Orchard Farm of Anhui Agricultural Reclamation Group, a cold chain special vehicle loaded with Dangshan pears was ready to depart. 560 pieces of Dangshan pears, weighing approximately 7 tons, in the car will be transported to Australia after passing the supervision of Suzhou Customs under the jurisdiction of Hefei Customs. This marks the first successful entry of high-quality fresh fruits from Dangshan County into the Oceania market, opening a new voyage for Suzhou's characteristic agricultural products to go global.

From the Dangshan warehouse to the dining tables of Oceanian diners, Dangshan pears not only span geographical distance, but also represent a transformation from traditional agriculture to international standards and from local specialties to global brands. In 2021, Dangshan County was recognized by the Ministry of Commerce as a "National Foreign Trade Transformation and Upgrading Base" for fruits and products. Now, this "national brand" sign is shining brightly in the international market through the floating Dangshan pears.
To facilitate the smooth export of Dangshan pears, Suzhou Customs strengthens policy supply, accurately collects international plant epidemic dynamics, and deeply analyzes the inspection and quarantine regulations of the export destination countries. In the customs clearance process, we will launch "7 × 24 hour" appointment inspection, "5+2" appointment certificate issuance, and "cloud issuance" services for inspection and quarantine certificates, opening up a "green channel" for agricultural products and achieving "zero waiting" for customs clearance. At the same time, we will focus on the high-quality development of the fruit industry, promote the standardization of fresh pear quality construction, strengthen the operation of orchard quality management system, enhance the monitoring and prevention capabilities of harmful foreign organisms, and safeguard the quality and safety of exported pear fruits. According to statistics, in the first two months of this year, the export value of agricultural and food products in Suzhou City reached 260 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of about 34.7%. Among them, the export of fresh pears and canned fruits covers 66 countries and regions.
