On March 29th, during the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization, 129 participants in the Investment Facilitation Agreement, including China, issued a joint ministerial declaration, announcing the start of the implementation of the agreement and continuing to promote its integration into the WTO rules framework.

The WTO Investment Facilitation Agreement currently has 129 WTO members participating, including 92 developing members, of which 28 are least developed members. It is the world's first multilateral investment agreement, the first development centered agreement, and the first investment rule negotiation led by developing members. The agreement aims to improve the business environment for global investment, promote global investment flows, and help developing members attract foreign investment and develop their economies. According to the World Trade Organization's calculations, after the agreement comes into effect, it can increase global foreign direct investment by 9% and increase global GDP by 1% within ten years.
