Ningbo Daily: Recently, there has been a surge in cross-border e-commerce export packages at Ningbo Airport

Reportedly (Reporter Sun Jiali, Correspondents Xu Tiangang and Hu Bobo), it is currently the "shopping season" in the United States. According to statistics from Ningbo Airport Customs, November 21st to December 5th is the peak period for cross-border e-commerce exports. Ningbo Airport has released over 1 million cross-border e-commerce export packages, an increase of nearly 20% compared to usual.
At present, the main route for cross-border e-commerce exports in Ningbo is from Ningbo to Anchorage, Alaska, USA. Through this route, goods from Ningbo and surrounding areas do not need to detour through Hangzhou and Shanghai.
On this flight route, the main products are clothing, hats, shoes, accessories, and daily necessities, with over 80% of them being clothing, hats, shoes, accessories, and daily necessities such as stationery, doll accessories, outdoor equipment, etc. Many of them are products sold to the United States on the SHEIN platform. Recently, the SHEIN platform has achieved an average weekly export volume of 140000 tickets through this route. ”Pan Jinghua, the person in charge of Zhejiang Sinotrans Co., Ltd., said.
Due to the rapid increase in order volume in a short period of time, Pan Jinghua, who undertakes cross-border e-commerce retail export business, has also expressed concern. Fortunately, the customs at Ningbo Airport have made early arrangements and conducted a survey of the business situation of e-commerce enterprises. They have not only set up exclusive customs clearance channels and implemented a "check and release" policy for exported goods, but also arranged dedicated personnel to ensure the full process of cross-border e-commerce export goods, achieving "zero port detention". According to enterprise estimates, the improvement in customs clearance efficiency has reduced the time and cost of shipping by 30%.
