High thrust engine bonded maintenance business landed in Beijing Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone

Recently, Beijing Aero Engine Maintenance Co., Ltd., located in the Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Beijing, welcomed the first domestically imported Rolls Royce high thrust engine for maintenance, marking the official launch of the company's high thrust engine maintenance business.

Beijing Aero Engine Maintenance Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Air China Limited and Rolls Royce of the United Kingdom. It is the first professional company in mainland China and the fourth in the world to specialize in the overhaul of the Rolls Royce series of high thrust engines. The company is the operating entity of the Beijing Aircraft Engine Maintenance Project, officially put into operation on December 10, 2025.

The customs have helped us solve a series of specific problems in carrying out bonded maintenance business, allowing us to smoothly start the maintenance work of our first high thrust engine. Next, we will gradually increase our production capacity, and it is expected that by 2034, we can achieve the full production target of repairing 250 engines annually and provide a large number of high-tech employment opportunities, "said the person in charge of Beijing Aero Engine Maintenance Co., Ltd.

Compared with ordinary bonded maintenance services, aircraft engine maintenance involves a variety of parts types, large quantities, and diverse maintenance methods. Tianzhu Customs, a subsidiary of Beijing Customs, conducted in-depth research on the front line and promptly handled and settled various difficult business during the promotion of the Beijing aviation engine maintenance project on the same day. The customs actively explores the "dual account management+work order verification" customs supervision plan, embedding customs supervision into the production chain of enterprises, achieving full process supervision and traceability of production factors such as bonded maintenance parts and components for aviation engines, without affecting the normal production order of enterprises, and ensuring accurate and efficient supervision. In addition, the customs also supports the development of new business models such as "bonded+training" and "bonded+testing" derived from bonded maintenance, helping Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone to continuously expand its business scope and improve its development quality.

At present, Tianzhu Customs has processed customs clearance procedures for one maintenance engine and three training and testing engines, with a total value of about 150 million yuan. The relevant person in charge of Tianzhu Customs stated that in the next step, the customs will continue to support Tianzhu Comprehensive Bonded Zone in expanding its "bonded+" industrial layout, attracting high-end manufacturing, maintenance, research and development industries centered on aviation engine maintenance, and further assisting China's aviation engine upgrade and iteration from maintenance to manufacturing.
