On February 4th, the Niuean container ship "Boda 89/MERATUS CIANJUR" newly built by Ningbo Boda Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. set sail from Shipu Port for export overseas after joint inspection by customs, border inspection, maritime and other port inspection units. This is the first ship export business welcomed by Shipu Port after its official opening, marking the port's official entry into the international shipping stage.
This is not only a happy event for Boda Shipbuilding Industry, but also an important milestone in the development of the entire Shipu Port Area, "said the person in charge of Ningbo Boda Shipbuilding Industry Co., Ltd. Compared with the previous temporary opening, there is no effective time limit for opening, creating a good environment for ship delivery for shipyards. Compared with the previous round trip delivery, it can save 2-3 days of time, reduce the cost of a single ship by about 200000 yuan, and benefit more than ten repair shipyards in the surrounding area
In December 2025, the opening of Xiangshan Shipu Port officially passed the national acceptance and obtained the qualification for international navigation vessels to enter and exit the port. The successful completion of this first transaction has laid a solid foundation for future international trade exchanges.
To ensure the smooth export of this' first order 'ship, we have implemented convenient measures such as' one ship, one policy, appointment inspection, and joint inspection clearance' to ensure seamless connection in all aspects. Yan Yuxiao, the head of the Supervision Department of Xiangshan Customs under Ningbo Customs, introduced that in response to the tightening of bank credit and difficulties in guarantee faced by Xiangshan shipbuilding enterprises, Xiangshan Customs has also innovated processing and trade measures, launched a diversified guarantee model of 'insurance+guarantee', linked with local governments and financial institutions, introduced insurance companies to participate in tariff guarantee insurance, and relied on the county's small and medium-sized enterprise financing guarantee center to provide credit support, successfully solving the dilemma of enterprises unable to provide traditional bank guarantees. By 2025, the cumulative cost of capital occupation for enterprises will be reduced by 36.46 million yuan.
According to statistics, in 2025, Xiangshan's export commodity ship trade volume will reach 1.68 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 32.9%, reaching a historical high. As this ship carrying special significance sails towards the deep blue sea, Shipu Port Area also welcomes new development opportunities. In addition to shipbuilding and export business, the port area will also vigorously develop industries such as cold chain logistics, high-end aquatic products, and small-scale trade with Taiwan, creating a maritime gateway that radiates to the eastern Zhejiang region.
