The 2026 National Conference on Service Consumption and Service Trade was held in Beijing

On February 4-5, the 2026 National Conference on Service Consumption and Service Trade was held in Beijing.   Vice Minister of Commerce Yan Dong attended the meeting and delivered a work report.

The meeting emphasized that the current consumption structure is accelerating its transformation from being dominated by commodity consumption to being dominated by service consumption, and service trade has also reached a new level on the basis of trillions of dollars. It is necessary to take high-level opening up as the guide, adhere to the dual wheel drive of "policy+activity", cultivate new growth points of service consumption, encourage and support service exports, innovate and develop digital trade, promote high-quality development of the exhibition industry, and strive to achieve a good start in high-quality development during the 15th Five Year Plan period.

Representatives from the commerce departments of various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, as well as officials from relevant departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Commerce, attended the meeting. Representatives from relevant departments of the central and state organs attended the meeting.
