The 13th round of negotiations for the second phase of the China Korea Free Trade Agreement was held in Beijing

The 13th round of negotiations for the second phase of the China Korea Free Trade Agreement will be held in Beijing from January 19 to 23, 2026. Both sides have made positive progress in implementing the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, accelerating negotiations, and conducting in-depth and constructive discussions on cross-border service trade, investment, financial services rules, and negative lists.

The China Korea Free Trade Agreement came into effect on December 20, 2015. On the basis of the original agreement, both sides will seek high-level opening up in the fields of service trade and investment through the second phase of negotiations, and promote the upgrading of China South Korea economic and trade cooperation.
