The international freight route from Ningbo to Liege, Belgium has resumed operations, and new energy vehicles can also fly overseas
On the 21st, at the international cargo terminal of Ningbo Lishe International Airport, a batch of domestically produced new energy vehicles urgently needed to be sent to Europe successfully completed customs clearance and will be taken on the 3V827 flight to Liege, Belgium, winning valuable time for subsequent core testing work.
Liege is located in central Europe, with complete water, land, and air transportation facilities that enable seamless integration of multiple modes of transportation, making it an important freight hub in Europe. This batch of domestically produced new energy vehicles, including pure electric and hybrid cars from Jixing and Lotus, will be distributed in Liege and sent to Germany and Sweden.
In May 2025, Ningbo Airport Port achieved the "first flight" of domestically produced new energy vehicles overseas, but was subsequently interrupted due to route reasons. This month, the international freight route from Ningbo to Liege, Belgium (every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) resumed operations, and the business has been restarted. The resumption of this route means that it will be normalized for cars to fly out to sea in the future, "said Zhou Ting, head of the logistics monitoring department at Ningbo Airport Customs.
Most of the cars chosen for air transportation are for overseas testing and exhibitions, and air transportation can greatly save logistics time, "said Xu Zhuojun, the head of Sinotrans Air Transport Co., Ltd. Ningbo Branch. In response to the strict automotive technology regulations and high admission standards in the European market, as well as the tight export time and personalized demand for research and development test vehicles, Ningbo Airport Customs actively provides front-line services, providing one-on-one guidance from policy consultation, document sorting to customs declaration, avoiding compliance risks in advance, and ensuring that the declaration materials meet the standards in one go.
