Recently, Yantai Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, seized 298 bags of imported "three no" weight loss products, totaling 2682 pills, illegally carried by passengers through the airport travel inspection channel.

During the supervision of inbound flights, customs officers discovered abnormal luggage images of a passenger who chose the "no declaration channel" for entry. After opening the package for inspection, a large number of "three no" products such as pills and capsules packaged in transparent sealed bags were found. A total of 2682 pills were counted on site. The passenger stated that the above-mentioned items were carried on behalf of others. After rapid on-site testing, the batch of weight loss products tested positive for methamphetamine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine.

Methamphetamine is an active ingredient in methamphetamine and a potent central nervous system stimulant with addictive properties. Dimethyl hydroperoxide is the main component of ecstasy, belonging to central nervous system stimulants and hallucinogens, with toxicity and addictive properties. Weight loss products containing methamphetamine and methylenedioxymethamphetamine are essentially using their psychoactive ingredients to suppress appetite and increase metabolic rate. Long term and excessive use can seriously damage the digestive system, immune system, cardiovascular system, and may lead to addiction, mental illness, and irreversible harm to the body.

According to relevant regulations such as the Drug Administration Law of the People's Republic of China and the Regulations on the Administration of Anesthetic Drugs and Psychotropic Drugs of the People's Republic of China, the state implements import and export permit management for anesthetic drugs and psychotropic drugs. The import and export of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs shall obtain import and export permits issued by the National Medical Products Administration.

At present, the customs have lawfully detained it. (Mou Dezhu/Text)
