  Recently, customs officers at Ningbo Airport, under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Customs, seized 244 cigarettes illegally carried by passengers through travel inspection channels, totaling 48800 cigarettes.
When customs officers were supervising the luggage and items of inbound passengers, they found that a passenger who chose to enter through the "green channel" had an abnormal checked baggage image, showing a single item neatly arranged and filled. After further inspection and counting upon opening the box, a total of 244 cigarettes and 48800 pieces were seized. At present, it has been transferred to the anti smuggling department for further disposal.
Customs Reminder: According to the "Measures for the Supervision of Inbound and Outbound Luggage of the People's Republic of China" and other regulations, inbound passengers are allowed to carry 400 cigarettes (including heated cigarettes), 20 cigars, or 500 grams of tobacco duty-free, provided that the total value of their luggage does not exceed the tax-free amount; Among them, passengers entering from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and Macao Special Administrative Region are exempt from carrying 200 cigarettes (including heated cigarettes), 10 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco.
