Gansu's exports to ASEAN reach a new high
According to statistics from Lanzhou Customs, Gansu Province's exports to ASEAN will reach 3.47 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 123%. Special agricultural products such as Tianshui flowers, cows, apples, and industrial products such as photovoltaic modules have entered the ASEAN market, and the "Gansu elements" on the Western Land Sea New Corridor are becoming increasingly prominent.
Customs clearance efficiency is an important factor affecting the growth of foreign trade. In response to the characteristics of short shelf life and high transportation requirements of agricultural products in Gansu, Lanzhou Customs has opened a "green channel" for local inspection of fresh products throughout the province, realizing the "reporting, inspection, and release" of fresh apples, plateau summer vegetables, and other products. At the same time, innovative implementation of "remote video inspection" and "port direct access" for low-risk export goods have reduced the overall customs clearance time by more than 40%.
Accurate policy empowerment also injects momentum into foreign trade. Lanzhou Customs actively implements preferential policies for origin, provides "door-to-door policy delivery" services, organizes professional teams to provide "one enterprise, one policy" guidance for export enterprises, focuses on interpreting the customs clearance rules of ASEAN countries, and helps enterprises prevent trade risks. We will comprehensively promote the "intelligent verification+self-service printing" mode of certificates of origin, optimize online service platforms such as "Gannong Foreign Trade Pass" and "Code based Processing", achieve "instant issuance and full online processing" of certificates, and improve overall visa efficiency by more than 70%. In 2025, Lanzhou Customs issued a total of 1708 certificates of origin for the China ASEAN Free Trade Area, an increase of 18.8% year-on-year.
The export commodity categories continue to enrich. In addition to Tianshui apples, specialty agricultural products such as Dingxi potatoes and Zhangye vegetable seeds have also opened the door to the ASEAN market; The export of photovoltaic modules, lithium batteries, traditional Chinese medicine and other products increased year-on-year, forming a diversified overseas pattern of "agricultural products+industrial products" coordinated overseas. Malaysia, Singapore, and Vietnam have become the top three export markets for Gansu's exports to ASEAN, with exports to Malaysia accounting for 22.2%, a year-on-year increase of over 1.9 times.
