The 'Steel Camel Team' gallops tirelessly, with specialty products rushing in both directions ——Documentary of Nanjing Customs Serving the High Quality Development of China Central Asia Economic and Trade Cooperation

Nanjing Customs earnestly implements the diplomatic achievements of the head of state, deeply promotes the "Smart Customs Strong Country" and "Silk Road Smooth" actions, takes "big trade" and "big logistics" as the pivot, serves Jiangsu to build a coordinated development pattern of "production, transportation, and trade" with Central Asia, and strives to create a new benchmark for smooth trade cooperation between China and Central Asia. In the first 11 months of last year, Jiangsu's imports and exports to the five Central Asian countries amounted to 31.36 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%.

Focusing on 'Big Trade' to Support China Central Asia Trade Smooth Cooperation Platform and Make it Better and Stronger

Entering the China Central Asia Trade Cooperation Platform located in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, there is a dazzling array of Central Asian specialty products such as camel milk powder from Kazakhstan, honey from Kyrgyzstan, and silk from Uzbekistan. As a national level platform for smooth trade cooperation, this place not only builds a bridge for import and export trade of agricultural and mineral products, but also gathers resources through five exhibition areas including trade service zones, Silk Road e-commerce zones, and technology exchange zones, providing "one-stop" services for Central Asian enterprises to invest and trade cooperation in China.

To support the platform's quality improvement and incremental growth, Jinling Customs, a subsidiary of Nanjing Customs, has developed eight measures to support the platform in conducting foreign trade exhibitions, bonded exhibitions, digital trade, etc., based on the platform and cross-border e-commerce as a breakthrough. These measures aim to promote strong cooperation between the platform, traditional foreign trade enterprises, and manufacturing enterprises, upgrade to the internet, and help create characteristic models such as "cross-border e-commerce+cluster manufacturing" and "cross-border e-commerce+professional market". By leveraging the advantages of bonded logistics distribution, consolidation, and other functions, we will promote the "online shopping of bonded goods and domestic goods in the same package and vehicle consolidation area model" within the customs special supervision area. This model has been selected as a comprehensive pilot demonstration experience for expanding the opening up of the national service industry and will be replicated and promoted nationwide. At the same time, we will increase efforts to cultivate credit, actively provide AEO certification policy lectures and professional evaluation guidance, and accelerate the implementation of customs clearance facilitation measures. At present, 10 companies under the platform construction company Suhao Holdings Group have obtained AEO certification and enjoy preferential policies such as priority customs clearance and reduced regulatory frequency, effectively reducing trade costs. From January to November 2025, driven by the China Central Asia Trade Cooperation Platform, Jiangsu's cross-border e-commerce exports to Central Asia increased by over 70%, driving a 25.2% growth in the province's exports to Central Asia.

Focusing on 'big logistics' to facilitate smooth connectivity of China Europe (Asia) freight trains

In 2025, Jiangsu will be deeply integrated into the high-quality co construction of the "the Belt and Road" and usher in new opportunities.

The Sino Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base is the first international economic and trade cooperation entity project launched after the "the Belt and Road" initiative was proposed. On January 6th, under the supervision and protection of Lianyungang Customs under the jurisdiction of Nanjing Customs, containers loaded with automotive parts, daily necessities, and other goods were lifted onto the train. They are about to depart from the China Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base and travel along the New Eurasian Continental Bridge to Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. According to statistics from Nanjing Customs, by 2025, the China Kazakhstan (Lianyungang) Logistics Cooperation Base will operate a total of 915 China Europe (Asia) freight trains with a capacity of over 75000 TEUs, covering countries and regions in Central Asia, Europe, and 104 international freight stations.

Starting from here, "Made in China" products such as electromechanical equipment, electronic products, and daily necessities are continuously transported to the Central Asian market; From here, raw materials and products produced in Central Asia such as ferroalloys and fertilizers set sail and entered the vast Pacific Ocean. To support the construction of the China Central Asia logistics corridor, Lianyungang Customs under Nanjing Customs relies on the pilot free trade zone to continuously improve the effectiveness of the "bonded+export" container mixing mode of the China Europe freight train, injecting new momentum into the innovative development of the China Europe (Asia) freight train; Suzhou Customs has expanded its "China Europe freight train+" characteristic services, built a diversified and three-dimensional logistics system, and successfully opened up the "southbound channel" export rail public multimodal transport in the East China region throughout the entire process, injecting greater vitality into the development of regional economic integration.
