Ningbo Daily: After the official opening of Shipu Port Area, the first commercial ship successfully exported goods
Yesterday, the Niuean container ship "Boda 89/MERATUS CIANJUR", newly built by Ningbo Boda Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., set sail from Shipu Port in Xiangshan for export overseas after joint inspection by customs, border inspection, maritime and other port joint inspection units. This is the first ship export business welcomed by Shipu Port after its official opening, marking the port's official entry into the international shipping stage.
In December 2025, the opening of Xiangshan Shipu Port officially passed the national acceptance and obtained the qualification for international navigation vessels to enter and exit the port, achieving a leap from "temporary opening" to "formal opening" and laying a solid foundation for the continuous promotion of international trade and shipping business in the port area.
The previous temporary port had a time limit for opening, but now that it is officially open, ship delivery is no longer subject to time constraints, creating a more stable and convenient customs clearance environment for enterprises, "said the person in charge of Ningbo Boda Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
To ensure the smooth export of the "first order" vessel, Xiangshan Customs under Ningbo Customs has proactively met the needs of enterprises, strengthened cooperation among port units, and introduced a series of convenient measures.
We provide advanced services, guiding enterprises to efficiently complete ship registration and document preparation, implementing convenient measures such as' one ship, one policy, appointment inspection, joint inspection clearance ', and ensuring seamless connection in all aspects, "said Yan Yuxiao, head of the Supervision Department of Xiangshan Customs under Ningbo Customs.
In addition to shipbuilding and export business, the future port area will vigorously develop industries such as cold chain logistics and high-end aquatic products, and create a maritime gateway that radiates to the eastern Zhejiang region. The relevant person in charge of Xiangshan Customs stated that the customs will continue to optimize the port business environment, help stabilize orders, expand markets, and inject new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional marine economy.
