Traditional industries develop 'new branches' - Zhejiang textile machinery enterprises make efforts to explore global markets

The textile industry is a traditional advantageous industry in Zhejiang. In recent years, facing the adjustment of the global textile industry pattern and changes in market demand, Zhejiang textile machinery enterprises have actively responded by upgrading technology, innovating products, and providing precise services, keeping up with the global layout of China's textile and clothing industry, and accelerating the development of overseas markets. According to statistics from Hangzhou Customs, by 2025, the export value of textile machinery and its parts in Zhejiang Province will reach 15.84 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.6%, accounting for more than one-third of the national export scale.
Recently, the "ultra long width modular flexible intelligent control ultra long head embroidery equipment" produced by Zhejiang Yuelong Sewing Equipment Co., Ltd. has entered the list of the first (set) equipment in Zhejiang Province for 2025. Yu Hongbing, the deputy general manager of the company, said: "In recent years, the demand for embroidery machines in overseas markets such as India and Türkiye has risen significantly, and the company's orders have been placed until June this year. We have accelerated the pace of technological innovation, and stepped up the relocation of new plants. The use of new production lines will better meet the demand for expanding international market share."
As a private enterprise focusing on the production of multi head computerized embroidery machines, the self owned brand "Yuemei" series of Zhejiang Yuelong Sewing Equipment Co., Ltd. enjoys a good reputation in India, Türkiye, Egypt and other markets, and its export volume continues to grow rapidly. In 2025, the company's export value will be 980 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 41.4%.
Shaoxing Zhuji is known as the "Chinese Embroidery Machine Industry Base", and its intelligent embroidery machine industry cluster has been selected as a national level characteristic industry cluster for small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2025, the export value of computerized embroidery machines in Shaoxing region will reach 5.65 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 56.6%.
The sewing machine industry in Lishui also seized the opportunity of "smart manufacturing". In recent years, Lishui has formed an export pattern of "multi-point support and full domain collaboration", with products covering multiple categories such as home smart machines, industrial flat sewing machines, overlock sewing machines, etc. The market radiates to Europe, America, Africa, Southeast Asia and other regions, and some enterprises account for more than 50% of sales in countries such as Nigeria. By 2025, the export value of sewing machines in Lishui City will reach 720 million yuan, gradually becoming a new growth point for local exports.  
Zhejiang Wanwei Machinery Co., Ltd. focuses on the research and development of intelligent sewing machines. Its products integrate electronic control, network interconnection, built-in cameras and other functions, and are exported to more than 20 countries and regions including Europe. By 2025, the export value will reach 120 million yuan, and the use of certificates of origin to enjoy tariff reductions has brought us tangible benefits. Under the guidance of customs, our products have also successfully passed international certifications such as CE. ”The person in charge of the company, Zhu Yimin, introduced it.  
2026 is the beginning year of the 15th Five Year Plan, and it is of great responsibility to do a good job in customs work.
