At around 13:50 on February 1st, 1.15 tons of high-quality cherries from Australia were successfully imported from Hong Kong Airport to the mainland through the "Air Land Fresh Products Exclusive Express Line" under the supervision and inspection of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge under the jurisdiction of Gongbei Customs. This is the first fresh fruit imported from Australia after Gongbei Customs and Hong Kong Customs signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Inspection, Quarantine and Supervision of Transit Import Air Transport Fruits, marking a new route for Australian cherries to enter the mainland Chinese market.
It is reported that the batch of cherries was picked and transported by air to Hong Kong airport, and then connected by a cold chain truck through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge via the "Air Land Fresh Products Exclusive Express Line" of the bridge. The entire process was smooth, providing all the "fresh" machines for the preservation of imported fruits. The customer values the transportation advantages of Daqiao and the all-weather customs clearance advantages of Daqiao Port. This batch of Australian cherries is transferred through a dedicated express line at Hong Kong Airport and can enter the comprehensive designated supervision site of Daqiao Port in less than an hour. The customs inspection and release are also very fast, ensuring that these cherries can be delivered to consumers within 48 hours after picking. The stable and predictable customs clearance environment gives us confidence in serving more fresh fruit import customers in the future, "said Shu Xueming, Deputy General Manager of Zhuhai Huichang Transportation Investment Co., Ltd.
In order to ensure the smooth entry of this batch of cherries, we have contacted the enterprise in advance, grasped the flight dynamics, cargo information and transportation plan, and strengthened law enforcement cooperation with Hong Kong Customs to ensure the efficient operation of the exclusive express line. In the port inspection stage, we have opened a 'cold chain fast track', implemented priority inspection and rapid release while ensuring safety, and achieved seamless connection between air and land transportation, greatly improving customs clearance efficiency, "said Qiu Huimin, Deputy Director of the Customs Supervision Department of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge.
