Customs releases Weibo: 185 undeclared cigarettes seized

Recently, inspection officers from Beilun Customs, a subsidiary of Ningbo Customs, found a large number of undeclared branded cigarettes such as "Liqun", "Hongshuangxi", and "Huangjinye" hidden in a batch of exported goods declared as "advertising cloth and chemical fiber mats" during inspection. A total of 185 cigarettes, totaling 37000, were counted. According to Article 3 of the Tobacco Monopoly Law of the People's Republic of China, "The state shall implement monopoly management on the production, sale, import and export of tobacco monopoly products in accordance with the law, and implement a tobacco monopoly license system." The export of cigarettes requires approval from the tobacco monopoly administrative department of the State Council and the acquisition of a tobacco monopoly license. At present, the batch of goods has been handed over to the subsequent disposal department for further processing.
