According to statistics released by Shanghai Customs, in 2025, Shanghai Customs will supervise 46000 international navigation vessels, a year-on-year increase of 2.85%, reaching a historical high; The regulated amount of bonded fuel oil for ships reached 4.554 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9.5% and also a historic high.
In addition, by 2025, the amount of bonded liquefied natural gas refueling for ships under the supervision of Shanghai Customs will reach 712000 cubic meters, a significant increase of 54% year-on-year; Regulatory ship green methanol injection volume of 10000 tons, achieving a breakthrough of zero.
Tao Li, Deputy Director of Hongkou Customs under Shanghai Customs, introduced that Hongkou Customs fulfills the responsibility of centralized management of ship supplied materials in the customs area, coordinates resource allocation, optimizes management models, fully supports the development of the bonded ship supplied fuel oil industry, and promotes the construction of Shanghai Shipping Center. In 2025, 3.074 million tons of bonded fuel oil for ships will be released from the Hongkou Customs area, accounting for nearly 70% of the total refueling volume at Shanghai Port.
At the beginning of this month, under customs supervision, the liquefied natural gas refueling ship "Haigang Future" refueled 6559.6 cubic meters of bonded liquefied natural gas for the "Dafei Maoyi Island" ship at the Yangshan Port Phase I terminal. This is the first time this year that Shanghai Port has completed bonded liquefied natural gas refueling operations.
In recent years, Shanghai Customs has continued to support the construction of the "Shanghai Port Green Fuel Refueling Center" and promote the normalized operation of green fuel refueling for ships such as liquefied natural gas and methanol. The relevant person in charge of Shanghai Customs stated that the customs will continue to move towards "greenness" and improve the quality of "newness", and continuously optimize regulatory services around the fuel refueling needs of international navigation ships.
