Jiangxi's foreign trade is steadily improving quarter by quarter, and last year, the export scale of multiple products ranked among the top in the country

In 2025, our province's exports of flat panel display modules, tungsten products, fireworks and firecrackers will rank second in the country, pig exports will rank third in the country, photovoltaic product exports will rank fifth in the country, and tea and copper material exports will rank sixth in the country... Recently, our province held the first press conference of the "Practical Work Embarks on a New Journey, Striving for a Better Future" series of press conferences, and Nanchang Customs introduced the import and export situation of our province's foreign trade in 2025. Faced with a complex and ever-changing international environment, our province's foreign trade entities have continuously improved their product core competitiveness, and the export scale of multiple products ranks among the top in the country. In particular, the export of high-tech products closely related to new quality productivity has maintained growth, with exports of high-end equipment, new materials, electronic components, instruments and meters increasing by 39.7%, 3.6%, 43.1%, and 24% respectively.

In 2025, the province's foreign trade imports and exports will reach 482.3 billion yuan, an increase of 2.7%. Among them, exports will reach 309.78 billion yuan, an increase of 1.8%; imports will reach 172.52 billion yuan, an increase of 4.3%, achieving the goal of stable quantity and quality improvement. "Kuang Li, the director and party secretary of Nanchang Customs, said that with the implementation of a series of policies and measures to stabilize foreign trade by the General Administration of Customs and the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Government, enterprises have actively adapted and adjusted their foreign trade market strategies. Our province's foreign trade has stopped falling and rebounded since June last year, with monthly imports and exports operating at a scale of over 40 billion yuan for seven consecutive months. In the third and fourth quarters of last year, the import and export scale exceeded 130 billion yuan, showing an overall trend of quarterly improvement and steady.

The continuous optimization of the structure is a major highlight of our province's foreign trade performance report. Last year, the province's import and export to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" reached 265.82 billion yuan, up 13.9%, accounting for 55.1% of the province's foreign trade, 5.4 percentage points higher than the previous year; Imports and exports to ASEAN and the European Union increased by 34.9% and 5.7% respectively, while imports and exports to Latin America and Africa achieved double-digit growth. The diversification of foreign trade markets has shown significant results.

Our province's foreign trade has achieved counter trend growth, thanks to the continuous enhancement of resilience in key industries. With the deepening implementation of the "1269" action plan, the scale of pillar industries such as electronic information, non-ferrous metals, and equipment manufacturing continues to expand, providing solid industrial support for the high-quality development of foreign trade. Last year, the total import and export of key industries in our province, such as electronic information, copper, automobile manufacturing, and agricultural and food products, amounted to 257.44 billion yuan, accounting for 53.4% of the province's foreign trade and driving a 4.7 percentage point increase in foreign trade during the same period.

Nanchang Customs has launched 33 measures to optimize the port business environment and promote the reform and innovation of "smart customs", actively helping to improve the quality and efficiency of foreign trade in our province. The continuous release of policy dividends has effectively offset external shocks, stabilized market expectations, and made foreign trade entities more dynamic. Last year, there were 7412 foreign trade enterprises with import and export performance in our province, an increase of 11.2%. Among them, there are 4439 production-oriented enterprises, an increase of 7.6%, with a total import and export value of 389.91 billion yuan, an increase of 5.2%, accounting for 80.8% of the province's foreign trade and ranking second in the country. The vitality of private enterprises' foreign trade continues to be released, with imports and exports reaching 345.65 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4%, accounting for 71.7% of the province's foreign trade.
