The Wenzhou Jakarta international all cargo flight route has officially opened
Recently, an all cargo flight from Indonesia landed at Wenzhou Longwan International Airport, marking the official opening of the Wenzhou Jakarta international cargo route. This is the first new freight route opened by Wenzhou Airport this year.
The route is planned to operate three times a week, mainly importing Southeast Asian specialty edible aquatic animals such as live Indonesian green crabs and frozen East Asian groupers, as well as frozen aquatic products.
Indonesia has over 100000 kilometers of coastline and abundant marine resources, among which high-quality edible aquatic animals such as tuna, green crabs, groupers, and frozen seafood are popular in the domestic market. The opening of the new air route will drive the structural upgrading of imported categories of edible aquatic animals and frozen aquatic products at Wenzhou Airport Port. It will not only provide stable supply for the upcoming Spring Festival consumption peak season, but also effectively help Wenzhou build a distribution center for aquatic products in southern Zhejiang.
In order to ensure efficient customs clearance of edible aquatic animals and frozen aquatic products, Wenzhou Customs has implemented a three pronged approach of "advance deployment, optimized supervision, and strengthened services" to understand the import needs, goods categories, and flight plans of enterprises in advance, guide enterprises to complete procedures such as approval of import animal and plant quarantine permits, registration of consignees and consignees, and registration of overseas production enterprises. At the same time, the joint airport group and airport cargo terminal will conduct inspections on designated supervision sites for imported fresh seafood and aquatic animals, focusing on key aspects such as cold chain storage temperature, inspection area settings, and epidemic prevention and disinfection facilities, to ensure that the site meets inspection standards and provides hardware support for "immediate inspection upon arrival". In addition, the customs also review documents and confirm flight information in advance to ensure that the goods are checked upon arrival.
In recent years, Wenzhou Airport has continued to expand its international air cargo network, and has successively opened freight routes to Seoul, Manila, Clark, Tashkent, etc. The opening of the "Wenzhou Jakarta" route has further expanded the radiation range of Wenzhou Airport's international logistics, and injected new momentum into the economic and trade exchanges between Wenzhou and the countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road".
Next, Wenzhou Customs will continue to assist Wenzhou Airport Port in optimizing its route layout, improving customs clearance convenience, and providing solid support for the construction of a regional international aviation hub center in Wenzhou.
