Four endangered coral reefs were seized

Recently, Jiaxing Customs, under the jurisdiction of Hangzhou Customs, intercepted 4 pieces of stone coral in the luggage of crew members who disembarked during a shift change.
Previously, Jiaxing Customs officers found four suspected endangered corals in the luggage of a crew member who disembarked from an incoming ship during a shift change inspection. After identification, the above-mentioned corals are all species of the order Actinopterygii, listed in Appendix II of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), and approved as national second-class protected animals.
Customs Reminder: According to the "List of Animals, Plants, Their Products, and Other Quarantine Items Prohibited from Carrying or Sending into the People's Republic of China", "Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora", "Wildlife Protection Law of the People's Republic of China", "Regulations on the Administration of Import and Export of Endangered Wild Fauna and Flora of the People's Republic of China" and other regulations, except for legally holding a wild animal and plant import and export certificate, it is prohibited to carry endangered species and their products into and out of the country. If the circumstances are serious enough to constitute a crime, criminal responsibility will be pursued in accordance with the law.
