Trade between China and South Korea has seen steady growth in the first 11 months of 2025
China and South Korea are important close neighbors and economic and trade cooperation partners. According to customs statistics, in the first 11 months of 2025, China's import and export with South Korea amounted to RMB 2.14 trillion, representing a year-on-year increase of 1.6%. Specifically, China imported RMB 1.2 trillion from South Korea and exported RMB 0.94 trillion to South Korea. Trade between China and South Korea accounts for 5.2% of China's foreign trade, indicating that bilateral economic and trade cooperation is continuously deepening and becoming more substantial.
The collaborative cooperation between the industrial chain and supply chain has been deepened. In the first 11 months of 2025, China-Korea import and export of electromechanical products amounted to RMB 1.43 trillion, an increase of 5.9%, accounting for 67% of the China-Korea trade scale, which was 2.7 percentage points higher than the same period last year. Among them, China's imports of electronic components and computer accessories from Korea increased by 9.9% and 7.4% respectively; China's exports of electronic components and auto parts to Korea increased by 10% and 8.9% respectively.
The potential for cooperation in emerging fields is being unleashed. In the first 11 months of 2025, China's imports of medicinal materials and pharmaceuticals, as well as electrical equipment, from South Korea increased by 8.9% and 3% respectively. Meanwhile, China's exports of "new three products", medical instruments, and equipment to South Korea rose by 12.4% and 1.1% respectively.
The scale of agricultural trade has expanded. In the first 11 months of 2025, China-South Korea agricultural trade reached 52.19 billion yuan, an increase of 2.1%. Among them, China's imports of alcoholic beverages and noodle products from South Korea, as well as its exports of dried and fresh fruits, nuts, and tea to South Korea, all achieved double-digit year-on-year growth.
