Customs at Daxing Airport seized 145000 US dollars in cash

Recently, during the supervision of outbound passengers' luggage by the Daxing Airport Customs under the jurisdiction of Beijing Customs, it was discovered that a passenger who chose the "green channel" for customs clearance had abnormal baggage inspection images. After unpacking and inspection, the on-site customs officer seized 145000 US dollars in cash from the passenger's hand luggage.

Customs reminder: Currency and cash are restricted items for entry and exit. According to relevant regulations, the limit for carrying foreign currency cash out of the country for the first time within 15 days is equivalent to $5000. If it is necessary to carry foreign currency cash beyond the limit out of the country, relevant documents should be obtained from the foreign exchange management department or relevant banks in advance and declared to the customs proactively when leaving the country.
