Statement by the China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics on the Positive Results of China Europe Dialogue and Consultation in Properly Resolving the Anti subsidy Case for Electric Vehicles
The China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electrical Products (hereinafter referred to as the "China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electrical Products") has noted that the negotiations between relevant government departments of China and Europe on the anti subsidy case for electric vehicles have achieved positive results. The European Commission has released the "Guidance Document on Submitting Price Commitment Applications" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidance Document"), and Chinese electric vehicle companies can submit price commitment applications based on the content of the Guidance Document. The European Commission promises to objectively and fairly review applications submitted by Chinese companies using a unified standard based on the principle of non discrimination. Eligible companies can use price commitments as a substitute for anti subsidy taxation.
The China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics believes that resolving the EU's anti subsidy case against China's electric vehicles is a common expectation of the upstream and downstream industries of electric vehicles in China and Europe. It will help promote the security and stability of the relevant industrial and supply chains in China and Europe, maintain the overall economic and trade cooperation between China and Europe, and uphold the rules based international trade order. In the spirit of mutual respect and dialogue, China and Europe have successfully achieved a "soft landing" in this case through multiple rounds of consultations. The China Chamber of Commerce for Machinery and Electronics appreciates the extensive work and positive achievements made by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce in effectively safeguarding the interests of related industries. It will encourage and support the enterprises involved to make full use of the negotiation results, apply for price commitments, and strive to fight for their export rights to Europe, promoting the healthy development of China Europe related industry cooperation.
