On December 15th, with the sound of the whistle, a professional transport convoy loaded with 48 high-quality breeding pigs slowly drove out of the breeding farm area of Chifeng Jiayu Seed Industry Technology Co., Ltd. On December 16th, it departed from the Erenhot highway port and headed to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This was the first time China had exported breeding pigs since 2018.
In order to ensure the smooth export of breeding pigs, Manzhouli Customs selected business backbone personnel for more than 200 days, actively coordinated rules, and overcame various obstacles and difficulties. During this period, we assisted enterprises in completing key processes such as international transportation qualification approval and mutual recognition of disease detection standards, and promoted Mongolia to sign samples of the Animal Health Certificate. Relying on the "Smart Animal and Plant Inspection" platform of the customs, the entire process of local declaration, identity confirmation, on-site inspection, and efficient certificate issuance can be digitized and visualized, shortening the transportation and customs clearance time. In response to Mongolia's quarantine requirements for pig disease testing projects, the testing period has been compressed to 7 days.
Manzhouli Customs has established a "full chain closed-loop supervision" system, implementing 24-hour video surveillance on breeding farms, regularly assessing disease risks, strictly regulating isolation and quarantine, collecting a total of 245 samples, and all test results are qualified. At the same time, electronic ear tags are used to track the health status of breeding pigs, and GPS positioning devices are installed on transport vehicles to prevent illegal stops on the way. In addition, joint transportation, border inspection and other departments have opened a "green channel" to ensure that breeding pigs are given priority inspection and release.
Based on the important window of opening up to the north by the country, in recent years, Manzhouli Customs has continuously optimized the cross-border trade business environment, fully supported agricultural and livestock product enterprises to expand exports, and helped Inner Mongolia build a national important agricultural and livestock product production base.
