Huangdao Customs seized 0.92 tons of prohibited imported solid waste

Recently, Huangdao Customs under Qingdao Customs seized a batch of solid waste prohibited from import, totaling 0.92 tons.

During the inspection of a batch of imported goods declared as "linear low-density polyethylene", customs officers found that some of the goods had different appearances, with gray and white particles mixed together and white powder mixed in. After sampling and identification, the mixed particles mentioned above are a mixture of defective products, scraps, or scraps generated during plastic processing, and belong to solid waste.

China prohibits the import of foreign garbage in any form, and prohibits the dumping, stacking, and disposal of foreign garbage in China. Import enterprises should strictly comply with the Solid Waste Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China and relevant laws and regulations. For those who illegally import foreign garbage into China, the customs shall order them to return and impose fines in accordance with the law. Those who commit crimes will be held criminally responsible in accordance with the law. (Liu Xu/Text)
