Fujian's vegetable exports in the first 11 months of this year reached 1 billion yuan
Fujian is known as the "Eight Mountains, One Water, One Field". Since the beginning of this year, Fujian Province has adapted to local conditions, based on its ecological advantages, "relying on mountains to eat and singing mountain songs", vigorously developed characteristic and advantageous agriculture, continuously improved the cultivation technology and quality control level of vegetables, and various vegetables in Fujian Province have been well received by the international market, becoming one of China's important vegetable export bases. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first 11 months of this year, Fujian Province exported fresh or refrigerated vegetables (hereinafter referred to as vegetables) worth 1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.6%.
ASEAN is the main market for vegetable exports in Fujian Province, exporting 560 million yuan to it in the first 11 months of this year. In addition, the growth rate of vegetable exports to the United Arab Emirates during the same period was impressive, with exports reaching 26.694 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 78.5%.
Cabbage, chili and multi spice fruits, as well as water chestnuts, are the main vegetable export varieties in Fujian Province. In the first 11 months of this year, Fujian Province exported cabbage, chili and multi spice fruits, as well as water chestnuts worth 120 million yuan, 94.583 million yuan, and 78.832 million yuan respectively, an increase of 19.4%, 20.1%, and 76.9% year-on-year.
In order to expand and strengthen the vegetable export industry, Fujian Province closely monitors overseas market demand and continues to deepen the supply side structural reform of the vegetable industry. In addition to brainstorming on "what to grow", efforts are also being made on "how to grow" and "how to produce".
