Vietnam plans to initiate anti-dumping mid-term review investigation on tables, chairs and accessories from China

On December 12, 2025, the Trade Defense Bureau of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam announced that it plans to initiate an interim review investigation into the anti-dumping case of tables, chairs, and accessories originating in China. Stakeholders can submit an application for the interim review investigation before January 11, 2026.

On September 1, 2021, Vietnam initiated an anti-dumping investigation into tables, chairs, and accessories originating from China and Malaysia. On February 17, 2023, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Announcement No. 235/QD-BCT on February 13, 2023, making a positive final ruling on the case and deciding to impose an anti-dumping duty of 21.4% on Chinese chairs and their accessories, and an anti-dumping duty of 35.2% on Chinese tables and their accessories; At the same time, a negative anti-dumping final ruling was made on the products originating from Malaysia involved in the case, and it was decided to terminate the anti-dumping investigation on the Malaysian involved products and not implement anti-dumping measures; The Vietnamese tax numbers of the products involved are 9401.31.00, 9401.39.00, 9401.41.00, 9401.49.00, 9401.61.00, 9401.69.90, 9401.71.00, 9401.79.90, 9401.80.00, and 9403.30.00; The measures will take effect from February 13, 2023.
