Zhejiang international road transportation has entered a stage of normalized operation

According to Hangzhou Customs, in the first 11 months of this year, over 550 international road transport (TIR) vehicles have departed from Zhejiang, ranking among the top in the country. Currently, Zhejiang's international road transport has entered a phase of regular operation.
TIR is an international cross-border cargo transportation system established on the basis of the United Nations Convention. It boasts advantages such as convenient customs clearance procedures, fast transportation turnover, and flexibility, making it another new international transportation mode following air and railway transportation. The relevant person in charge of Hangzhou Customs stated that the diversified export mode of "TIR+" has developed rapidly. Since the first "TIR+ cross-border e-commerce" export business was launched in Zhejiang Province in February this year, "TIR+ market procurement" and "TIR+ cross-customs area return of cross-border e-commerce goods" have been successively implemented, further meeting the needs of Zhejiang's small and medium-sized enterprises for the intensive shipment of scattered goods. In particular, TIR LCL exports have been welcomed by the market.
"The breakthrough from 'zero to hundreds' is the market's recognition of the TIR transportation mode. When the TIR transportation system was first launched, there might be only one train every few months. Now, we can send out 10 trains every week," said Liu Jiayuan, General Manager of Yiwu Shuanglong Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. happily. The TIR transportation business volume is growing rapidly, achieving normalized and high-density operation.
Reporters learned that currently, Zhejiang has opened 17 TIR routes for exports through Suifenhe Port, Manzhouli Port, Baketu Port, Alataw Pass Port, Khorgos Port, and Erlianhaote Port, initially forming a land transportation network that covers multiple countries and radiates from multiple points. It has become an important channel for the export of "Made in Zhejiang" products, including small commodities, to Russia and Central Asia. In the next step, Hangzhou Customs will continue to support the innovative development of diversified international logistics models, including TIR, to provide stable and convenient logistics channels for Zhejiang enterprises to explore markets.
