The two-way traffic in the bay area of 'Guangdong cars heading south' has been upgraded again

Just after midnight on December 23rd, a private car with a Guangdong C license plate smoothly entered the "Guangdong Car Southbound" exit lane at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge (hereinafter referred to as the Bridge Port). The car window rolled down, and Mr. Peng, the owner, completed temperature measurement and identity verification in the "one-stop" inspection system. The lane screen immediately lit up with a green traffic prompt, and the entire process was smooth and fast.

The first batch of Guangdong private cars that successfully booked to enter the Hong Kong urban area through the Bridge Port have cleared customs smoothly, marking a new stage of "two-way direct and urban direct" traffic between Guangdong and Hong Kong. On November 15th of this year, the first phase of the "Guangdong cars heading south" policy was officially implemented. Private cars from Guangdong that meet the conditions will exit through the Bridge Port and will only be allowed to park in the automated parking lot at the Hong Kong Port after passing through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge.

The Bridge Port is the only designated passage port for the "Guangdong vehicles heading south" policy. The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge Customs has continuously optimized its supervision process and upgraded its service efficiency, effectively promoting more efficient and convenient vehicle exchanges between Guangdong and Hong Kong. The "northbound" and "northbound" traffic flows are opposite to the "southbound" traffic flow. Since the beginning of this year, the number of "northbound" Hong Kong and Macao single license plate vehicles passing through the port has exceeded 3.27 million, a year-on-year increase of 25.4%.

I am very pleased to be one of the first participants of 'Guangdong Bus Southbound' entering the urban area of Hong Kong. One bridge connecting three places has truly accelerated the integrated development of the Greater Bay Area. My Hong Kong partner and I jointly opened a restaurant in Zhuhai, and we often have to travel back and forth to Hong Kong for inspection and study. In the past, we had to change buses every time, which took a long time. Now, with our own car, we can complete customs registration and clearance appointments online with just one click, and the whole process is smooth and unobstructed. This policy has really brought us great convenience! "Said Mr. Peng, the car owner.

Lin Jin, the head of the Customs Supervision Department of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, is one of the witnesses and service providers of this policy from preparation to implementation. We continue to optimize the regulatory process, iterate and upgrade the 'one-stop' clearance system, set up 5 dedicated clearance channels in each entry and exit direction, and use data sharing to achieve automatic verification of filing information, realizing 'one vehicle stop, one system release'. While improving efficiency, we also strengthen risk prevention and control to ensure that clearance safety and efficiency are equally important, "said Lin Jin. (Written by Chen Qixi)
