Promote China South Korea relations to take advantage of the situation and develop better (Ambassador's essay)

Qingzhou is a historical and cultural city that embodies the roots of China and South Korea, witnessing close friendly exchanges between the two sides for over 1000 years.       The two heads of state walked into the conference hall under the warm autumn sun, passing through the Duobao Pagoda and the Shakyamuni Pagoda, and had a 100 minute in-depth exchange in a friendly atmosphere, reaching a series of important consensuses. Both sides agree that China and South Korea are important neighbors that cannot be moved away, and they are inseparable partners. We should strengthen strategic communication, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, enhance national sentiment, and strengthen multilateral cooperation to promote the stable and far-reaching strategic partnership between the two countries.  

        President Li Zaiming expressed his belief that the conference in Shenzhen will achieve greater success. Another important agenda for this visit is the Busan summit between the heads of state of China and the United States. The meeting achieved positive results, stabilized major country relations, and boosted global confidence. The South Korean side provided active assistance for the meeting.

The heads of state of China and South Korea personally take the helm, leading the relationship between the two countries to show a new atmosphere, open up new prospects, and usher in new opportunities.   Many South Korean organizations and groups hold forums and events to provide suggestions and recommendations for the development of bilateral relations.

Currently, China South Korea relations are standing at a new historical starting point. Both sides should cherish the hard won good situation, fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and promote the development of China South Korea relations. Both sides should strengthen dialogue and communication, deepen understanding and mutual trust, properly manage differences, and consolidate strategic consensus and strong synergy of good neighborly friendship and win-win cooperation. Both sides should focus on common interests, seize major opportunities such as China's upcoming implementation of the 15th Five Year Plan, promote the upgrading of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, and better benefit the people of both countries. Both sides should promote positive energy, facilitate cultural exchanges, make good use of visa facilitation policies, and encourage people from both countries, especially young people, to come and go frequently and get to know each other. Both sides should jointly uphold multilateralism and free trade, uphold international fairness and justice, support the success of the APEC Leaders' Informal Meeting held in Shenzhen, promote regional stability and development, and even world peace and prosperity.

The wind is strong enough to set sail and forge ahead at the right time. Faced with the accelerated evolution of the century old changes and the intertwined international situation, promoting the healthy and stable development of China South Korea relations has always been the correct choice that conforms to the fundamental interests of the two peoples and the trend of the times. As long as both sides adhere to the original intention of establishing diplomatic relations, firmly maintain good neighborly friendship, and persist in win-win cooperation, they will surely open up a new chapter in the changing situation and create a better tomorrow for China South Korea relations.
