The Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that Hainan Free Trade Port will become an important gateway for China's high-level opening-up to the outside world
According to Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, December 23 (reporters Liu Yang and Yuan Rui) Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated on the 23rd that he believes Hainan Free Trade Port will become an important gateway for China's high-level opening-up to the outside world. The door of China's opening up will continue to widen, providing more opportunities for development and injecting new impetus into promoting global prosperity.
Lin Jian stated that in the face of increasing uncertainty in the world economy, China has fulfilled its commitment to opening up with practical actions, and with firm determination, confronted the tide of protectionism and promoted the construction of an open world economy. China has reduced the negative list for foreign investment access, completely lifted restrictions on foreign investment access in the manufacturing sector, granted 100% tariff free treatment to all least developed countries that have established diplomatic relations, and optimized visa free entry and transit policies. In the first 11 months of this year, China established over 60000 foreign-invested enterprises, a year-on-year increase of 16.9%, and the total value of goods trade imports and exports exceeded 41 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 3.6%. The breadth and depth of China's opening-up to the outside world continue to expand, the market's "magnetic attraction" continues to strengthen, and the resilience and vitality of foreign trade continue to be demonstrated.
