Argentina launches anti-dumping investigation on Chinese household electric ovens, sunset merger and changes in situation review investigation

On December 5, 2025, the Argentine Ministry of Economy issued Announcement No. 1944 of 2025, stating that the Argentine Chamber of Commerce C á mara de Fabricantes de Ventiladores, Estufas, Planchas y Productos Afines (CAFAVEP)  Application from Axel SA and Visuar SA for non embedded household electric ovens originating in China with a capacity of 18 liters or more but not exceeding 60 liters stico, de capacidad superior o igual a DIECIOCHO LITROS (18 l) pero inferior o igual a SESENTA LITROS (60 l), excepto los de empotrar] Initiate anti-dumping sunset review investigation, and at the same time initiate situation change review investigation. The dumping investigation period of this case is from October 2024 to September 2025, and the injury investigation period is from January 2022 to September 2025. The tax number of the product involved in the case is 8516.60.00 in Nanjing. During the investigation of the case, anti-dumping duties will not be imposed for the time being. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of publication.

Stakeholders can download survey questionnaires from the website www.argutina.gob.ar/cncce/cuessionarios to participate in the survey, and should submit the survey questionnaire and evidence materials within 30 days from the date of announcement.

On June 12, 2019, Argentina initiated an anti-dumping investigation into non embedded household electric ovens originating from China. On December 10, 2020, Argentina made a positive final ruling on the case, imposing an anti-dumping duty of $10.37 per piece on products with a capacity of 18 liters or more but not exceeding 36 liters, and an anti-dumping duty of $11.64 per piece on products with a capacity of 37 liters or more but not exceeding 60 liters. The measures will take effect from the date of announcement and are valid for five years.
