From January to October this year, the total value of imports and exports from mainland China to Hong Kong and Macao through the Zhuhai Highway Port via the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge reached 90.05 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 54.4%. As the only port for vehicles to clear customs for "Australian vehicles heading north" and "Hong Kong vehicles heading north", in the first 10 months, the customs has supervised over 3.2 million single license plate vehicles entering and leaving Hong Kong and Macao, a year-on-year increase of 27%. Behind the impressive data, Gongbei Customs has built a strong barrier for customs clearance through intelligent supervision, promoting high-quality development and high-level opening up. The Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge has increasingly become a "major artery" for the integrated development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.

Smart supervision opens up the cross-border "fast lane". After the implementation of the policies of "Australian cars heading north" and "Hong Kong cars heading north", the "Guangdong cars heading south" was successfully implemented in November this year, and the "one hour living circle" in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area was fully formed. Faced with the continuous growth of cross-border traffic flow, the customs has broken through the bottleneck of customs clearance efficiency with "smart empowerment", continuously upgraded the country's first "one-stop" inspection and release system for passenger and freight vehicles, fully utilized non-invasive inspection equipment such as "top license", and cooperated with local governments to promote the project of improving the efficiency of small passenger vehicle clearance, effectively enhancing the port's inspection and release capacity. The customs clearance efficiency of outbound small passenger vehicles has increased by 50%, and cross-border travel has achieved "second level passage". The daily traffic flow at Daqiao Port can reach up to 28000 vehicles, and the two-way traffic weaves the emotional and developmental bond between the three regions.

Connecting rules to build a "concentric bridge" of integration. Gongbei Customs continues to promote the transition from "hard connectivity" of port infrastructure to "soft connectivity" of rules and mechanisms, and "heart connectivity" of residents in the Greater Bay Area. It deepens the reform of customs clearance facilitation, fully unleashes the benefits of "early declaration" and "two-step declaration" policies, collaborates and innovatively launches the "Three Regions, One Lock Plan" for Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and reduces duplicate customs clearance inspections in the three regions; Strengthen cooperation in various fields such as customs clearance, health quarantine, food safety, and animal and plant quarantine among the three regions, sign multiple cooperation documents with relevant departments of the Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Region governments, and establish a system of mutual recognition of supervision and law enforcement assistance.

Accurately empowering and injecting "development vitality" into new business models. Focusing on cultivating new momentum in foreign trade, we aim to create a cross-border e-commerce "e-commerce express line" with "bridge clearance - Hong Kong Macao chain transfer - global express delivery". Nearly 500 cross-border e-commerce trucks clear customs every day, carrying over 1.6 million packages, and "fly" to more than 130 countries and regions around the world through Hong Kong and Macau airports. The customs implements precise supervision through credit management measures, implements convenient measures such as "simplified declaration, list release, summary statistics" and "priority inspection", and ensures smooth customs clearance of packages 24/7. The new business model injects new momentum into the integrated development of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. In the first 10 months, exports through the Daqiao Port through the customs cross-border e-commerce management platform reached 84.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 93.4%.
