The shipment volume of TIR transport vehicles in the SCO demonstration zone continues to maintain the first place in the country

Recently, four TIR transport vehicles loaded with milk tea, air conditioning accessories and other goods completed customs clearance and supervision procedures at Jiaozhou Customs under Qingdao Customs, and slowly drove out of the customs supervision operation site of China Chuanhua (SCO) International Logistics Port. They will pass through Manzhouli Port and arrive in the Russian capital Moscow in about 8 days.

Compared with sea, air, and railway transportation, TIR international road transportation can avoid possible cargo damage caused by port transshipment, has less dependence on infrastructure, and has the characteristics of flexibility, convenient cargo assembly, and fast turnover speed. It has comprehensive advantages in transportation cost and efficiency. Moreover, the TIR certificate can provide tariff guarantees for goods, achieving "one declaration, one vehicle to the end, one certificate to the destination", and realizing "door-to-door" cross-border transportation.

The customs continuously optimize the supervision mode and continue to promote efficient and smooth TIR transportation. The SCO demonstration zone has initially established a regional hub for international road transportation. ”Song Tao, Deputy Director of Jiaozhou Customs, stated that he will actively participate in the research and development testing of new functions such as TIR+"bonded" and TIR+"e-commerce", explore the connection of the return meat specialty line through Manzhouli Port and the "China Mongolia Russia" two-way express line through Erenhot Port, and expand the radiation range of TIR.

At present, the SCO demonstration zone has opened multiple international road transportation routes, including China Russia, China Kazakhstan, China Kyrgyzstan Ukraine, and China Belarus Russia. In the first 10 months of this year, the SCO Demonstration Zone has shipped a total of 374 TIR cross-border transport vehicles, with a freight volume of 5917 tons and a value of 245 million yuan.
