Wen Hui Bao: Sea freight consolidation has arrived in Shanghai one after another, and the entry of exhibits at the CIIE has reached a peak

At 10:00 today (28th), the largest batch of exhibits from the 8th CIIE, imported through sea freight distribution channels, arrived at the Shangyuan Container Supervision Station in terms of quantity and category. This batch of exhibits includes wine, tea, dried fruits from various African countries, as well as fruit juice, honey, drinking water, etc. from New Zealand and other countries, totaling 12 batches and 4.7 tons. Animal models and other decorations are also imported to decorate the African style exhibition booth. After the supervision is completed, these goods will be gradually sent to the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) and enter the exhibition stage.
Compared to previous years, the import peak for sea freight distribution channels has been delayed by about a week. We have set up a 'special window for entering the Expo' in advance to contact relevant enterprises, carry out policy promotion, collect enterprise needs, understand the situation of goods, and ensure the maximum efficiency of customs clearance for exhibits, "said Wu Tian, Deputy Director of Logistics Monitoring Department 2 at Shanghai Wusong Customs.
Due to the large variety of exhibited products and the small quantity of each category, relevant exhibitors are more willing to choose the method of joint consolidation for customs declaration and import. Compared to regular full container goods, LCL imported goods require higher customs clearance efficiency and regulatory processes. Exhibitors are more concerned about clearance speed and exhibition protection measures. Shanghai Wusong Customs has formulated a series of convenient measures: setting up a dedicated area and storage location for goods entering the Expo, and arranging dedicated personnel to supervise and provide services; Adopting the system of "remote appointment by enterprises and on-site handling by customs", the distribution and declaration of exhibits can be processed online, with immediate release and zero delay in customs clearance; Make a good scheduling plan to ensure that customs officers arrive before the exhibits, achieving seamless connection between unpacking, inspection, and removal, and ensuring that the imported exhibits arrive at the exhibition in the shortest possible time.
The customs series of convenience measures fully consider the needs of enterprises. Not only have dedicated personnel been set up to coordinate with our company in customs declaration, logistics transportation, and other aspects, but also after the goods are transported to China, regulatory actions such as sorting, unpacking, and inspection are completed in the first time to ensure that the exhibits can be transported to the exhibition at the fastest speed, creating enough time for our subsequent work arrangements, "said Ma Xiaoxu, Logistics Operation Group of COSCO Shipping Import Expo.
