Xinhua News Agency: What are the 4.7 ton exhibits from South Africa and New Zealand at the 8th China International Import Expo?

According to Shanghai Customs, 4.7 tons of exhibits from South Africa and New Zealand participating in the 8th China International Import Expo were transported to Wusong Port in Shanghai via a distant sea freight distribution channel on the 28th. It is reported that these exhibits consist of 12 batches, with South African exhibits including wine, tea, and dried fruits, and New Zealand exhibits including fruit juice, honey, drinking water, etc.
Shanghai Wusong Customs, a subsidiary of Shanghai Customs, stated that this year, the customs has set up a "special window for entering the Expo" in advance to contact relevant enterprises and ensure the maximum efficiency of customs clearance for exhibits.
Compared to regular full container goods, LCL imported goods have a wider variety and smaller quantity, requiring higher customs clearance efficiency. Exhibitors are also more concerned about the protection measures for exhibits. Shanghai Wusong Customs has formulated and implemented a series of convenient measures for this, including setting up dedicated areas and storage locations for goods entering the Expo, and arranging dedicated personnel to supervise and provide services; Adopting the system of "remote appointment by enterprises and on-site handling by customs", the distribution and declaration of exhibits can be processed online, with immediate release and zero delay in customs clearance; Make a good scheduling plan to ensure that customs officers arrive before the exhibits, achieving seamless connection between unpacking, inspection, and removal, and ensuring that the exhibits at the CIIE arrive at the exhibition in the shortest possible time.
