Vice Minister Ling Ji and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations held video talks with the President of the German Automotive Industry Association and the President of the European Automotive Industry Association respectively

Recently, Vice Minister Ling Ji and Deputy Representative for International Trade Negotiations held video talks with Chairman M ü ller of the German Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Chairman of the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers and Mercedes Benz Group, Kang Linsong. Both sides exchanged views on cooperation in the automotive industry and supply chain between China and Germany, as well as between China and Europe.

Ling Ji stated that the automotive industry between China and Europe is deeply integrated. Welcome European car companies to continue investing in China and work together with Chinese partners to promote the green and intelligent development of the global automotive industry. I hope that Germany and the European Association of Automobile Manufacturers will continue to exert their influence, promote the European Commission to work towards China, and resolve the anti subsidy case for electric vehicles as soon as possible.

Ling Ji responded to the inquiry and introduced the relevant situation of Anshi Semiconductor, emphasizing that the root cause of the chaos in the global semiconductor supply chain lies in the Netherlands. China has always taken a responsible attitude and promptly implemented export license exemption measures, making every effort to minimize the adverse impact on the automotive industry. We hope that the German and European automotive industry associations will play an active role in promoting Ansei Semiconductor to find a stable global supply chain solution as soon as possible.

M ü ller stated that the cooperation between Germany and China in the automotive industry has yielded fruitful results, with German car companies continuously increasing their investment in China and deepening strategic cooperation with Chinese partners. The German Association of Automobile Manufacturers opposes the EU's imposition of anti subsidy taxes on Chinese electric vehicles and is highly concerned about the progress of the Ansea semiconductor issue. It looks forward to companies resolving internal disputes through dialogue.

Kang Linsong stated that in recent years, European car companies including Mercedes Benz have continuously improved their localization level and deeply integrated into the development of China's automotive supply chain, in order to achieve the "in China, for the world" strategy. We look forward to both Europe and China finding practical solutions to the anti subsidy case for electric vehicles, strengthening supply chain cooperation between Europe and China, and creating a good atmosphere for cooperation in the automotive industry between the two sides.
