World Trade Organization: The growth rate of global goods trade will slow down
On November 28th local time, the World Trade Organization released the latest edition of the Goods Trade Barometer, which showed that goods trade surged in the first half of 2025, but the growth rate slowed down in the second half of the year. Except for the index of agricultural raw materials, all component indices of the barometer are higher than the benchmark value, and the index of agricultural raw materials has been in a contraction state since the beginning of the year.
The World Trade Organization's Goods Trade Barometer typically predicts the trade development trend for the next two to three months, and is currently still above the benchmark value, indicating that the growth rate of trade volume in the fourth quarter may slow down, but will still be above the trend level.
