Ministry of Commerce: Promote the export of second-hand cars from "scale growth" to "value growth"
Beijing, November 20 (Xinhua) -- The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce, He Yongqian, stated on November 20 that the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to guide various regions to implement policies, promote the export of second-hand cars from "scale growth" to "value growth", and provide global consumers with richer and more diverse product choices.
At the regular press conference held by the Ministry of Commerce on the same day, He Yongqian said that recently, the Ministry of Commerce, together with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the General Administration of Customs, issued a notice on further strengthening the management of second-hand car exports. This is a policy refinement based on the current management system and combined with the needs of high-quality development in the industry.
He Yongqian introduced that the notice proposes six specific measures from the aspects of strict export management, strengthening compliance review, and promoting healthy and sustainable development of exports. By strictly controlling the export of new cars under the name of second-hand cars, establishing a dynamic management and exit mechanism for enterprises, formulating a negative list of dishonest behaviors in the export of second-hand cars, further regulating enterprise business behavior, guiding the industry to continuously improve its comprehensive service level, improving the export supporting system, and achieving classified management, complementary advantages, and coordinated development of second-hand and new car exports.
He Yongqian said that after the notice was issued, various sectors of society generally recognized and positively evaluated it, believing that it reflects the sustainable development concept of "strong regulation, emphasis on quality, and excellent service" in the export of second-hand cars, which is conducive to improving the overall development level and international competitiveness of the industry.
