According to the latest data from Shanghai Customs, in the first three quarters of this year, the amount of food imported by Shanghai ports from the "the Belt and Road" countries reached 135.34 billion yuan, up 15.5% year on year, showing a strong growth momentum.
　　
The "the Belt and Road" runs through more than 150 countries and regions in Eurasia and Africa, including rich fruit resources. China is the world's largest fruit consumer. Benefiting from the many conveniences created by the "the Belt and Road" initiative, more and more high-quality fruits from the "the Belt and Road" countries are entering the fruit trays of Chinese families. Shanghai is the main port for fruit import in China.
